About the event
On 14 February, the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse will host the launch of A Light on the Rocks by acclaimed author Helen Edwards—a haunting maritime novel inspired by real events and the lighthouse itself.
Set across two timelines, the story weaves together the tragic SS Admella shipwreck, the lives of lighthouse families living offshore, and elements of mystery and magic drawn from the sea. The event includes a meet the author session, book signing, and the opportunity to purchase copies on site.
Guests are invited to enjoy drinks and nibbles from 4:30–5:30pm, with day tours available earlier from 10am to 3pm, making it a perfect day to explore the lighthouse and immerse yourself in its stories—both real and imagined.
