Illuminating our Heritage

This summer, the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse begins an exciting new chapter. Following essential conservation and restoration works, tours reopen on 26 December, revealing a beautifully refreshed lighthouse restored to its former glory. From a 50th anniversary celebration over the Australia Day long weekend to a February book launch inspired by real maritime history, the months ahead promise unforgettable ways to experience this iconic coastal landmark.

On the 25th May the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse team were lucky to host Ian Lewis and Helen Edwards. Both speakers presented quite contrasting topics, and both were very informative and inspiring!

What an exciting weekend, with people coming here from all over Australia to join the activities for the annual Lighthouses of Australia

This year we have the privilege of hosting the Lighthouses of Australia AGM, so we are making a weekend out of it.

We’re taking part in the 2024 People First Community Lottery to help raise much needed funds for restoration and conservation of the Lighth.

The Shine On Sunday event took the Lighthouse onto the the stage.

In its quest to raise funds the Kingston National Trust is presenting an enjoyable Sunday afternoon event focussed on the performing arts.
